Developed for the staff of the Japanese racing ski team as part of the successful Sunotore snowshoe category. Although originally released in 1983, it was named Snow Heaven 72 to commemorate the successful Sapporo Winter Olympics. These games saw a high number of medal winning performances from Onitsuka Tiger athletes, including the Japanese ski jump team, who dominated the competitions. The key styling feature of the Snow Heaven 72 is the extended boot section. This enables the wearer to turn down the boots in different ways to reveal snow motif prints and details.
