ANORAK FACTS?
Originally released as Nike Wimbledon back in ’82, they were made famous when he battered Bjorn Borg in them at Wimbledon the previous year. Legend has it that McEnroe demanded extra padding all over, making the toe box as soft as glove leather. This removed the need to break a new pair in and meant he could wear a box-fresh pair every match, without turning his toes into tinned tuna.
