When it was first released, the Elite, was hailed as the most state of the art marathon shoe on earth. Designed to ’ride over the fatigue of The Wall’ (the moment in a marathon, usually 20 miles in, when the glycogen in your muscles runs out, resulting in staggering agony). Specially designed to feature no seams to restrict your toes or cause blisters, and above all for the time weighed an unparallelled 240 grams.

But this time Nike have revisited their actual original designs, researched the original materials, specifications, and crafted this ultra limited edition to look 30 years old (these are an exact replication of some Elite Nike found ’cryonically suspended’ in a vault beneath their museum)-fresh out of the box.

And it’s all there, almost to the stitch. 1970’s grade nylon. Weird swooshes. Aged laces. Weathered foam. And, of course those iconic colour combos. It’s vintage. Minus the annoying, "wait 30 years" part.

The 3 layer EVA midsole and Waffle outsole is a genuine, super - comfortable surprise!!! These Nikes are the gear you’d actually be able to buy if you jumped in a DeLorean and hit 88mph, BLAMMO, etc
